Actually, he had applied for VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme), which has been approved. According to the report, Rajeshwar Singh may join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has also mentioned his attachment to the BJP by issuing a public letter after the resignation was accepted. According to sources, Rajeshwar Singh can contest from Sultanpur assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh.
