The Hero Dirt Biking Challenge (HDBC), which was launched in July 2022, concluded with the final race where the Top-20 riders from across the country competed to be the first HDBC champion.
 
Asad Khan emerged as the champion after the final race. Rakesh N and Gidyun were first and second runners-up respectively.
 
The winner, the first runners-up and the second runners-up received the popular Hero Xpulse 200 4V motorcycle and sponsorships contracts worth Rs. 10 lakhs, Rs. 6 lakhs and Rs. 4 lakhs respectively. 
 
Olesya Dias was recognized as the Best Female off-Road Rider in the country for her rousing performance across all the rounds. 
 
The HDBC will be telecast over MTV and streamed over Voot.
 
The finale week was held in and around Hero MotoCorp's world-class R&D hub, the center of Innovation and Technology, (CIT), in Jaipur. The entire race and participation experience was designed at par with top international rally events. The entire finale week was curated by the Hero MotoSports Team Rally.
 
During the past few months, over 100,000 participants registered for the HDBC and after a rigorous nationwide contest that ran across four stages, 41 cities and over 120 days, the Top-20 were short listed.

Successfully clearing the city and regional rounds, 90 riders reached the zonal round. Following a 4-day zonal round, where the National Team of Hero MotoSports trained participants, the Top-20 Dirt-Biking Heroes made it to the finale.
 
Hero MotoSports Team Rally, one of the top international teams, is the rally-racing team of Hero MotoCorp and the only Indian team ever to win a stage at the Dakar Rally. Team riders Ross Branch, Joaquim Rodrigues, Sebastian Buhler and Franco Caimi worked with the top participants in a Residential Bootcamp, and provided them with invaluable coaching.

Johnson & Johnson Vision*, a global leader in the eye health category and a part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech**, and Lions Clubs International Foundation celebrated 20 years of 'Sight For Kids', their school-based eye health program. Co-founded by Johnson & Johnson Vision and Lions Clubs International Foundation in 2002, the Sight For Kids program aims to bridge the gap in access to eye care by providing comprehensive eye health services for children from low-income and underserved communities. To mark the occasion, a vision screening for over 500 children was organised in Kolkata, West Bengal.
 
The two-day program took place at Lions Safari Park and Calcutta Greater Vidya Mandir School. Witnessing leading eye care professionals, local ophthalmological associations, NGO/community partners, Johnson & Johnson Vision representatives, and local Lions were present to honour the cause. The Sight For Kids program has operated across West Bengal since 2004.
 
In the last 20 years, the program has reached more than 42 million students in underserved communities in Asia, Africa, and the U.S., providing eye health treatment to 600,000 children across the world. In India, through a community and a school-based model, Sight For Kids has facilitated vision assessment for 37 million children. The program has equipped communities with critical tools to ensure children have access to eye care for clear and healthy vision.

Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, DCR-NCR recently concluded the Shiv Nadar IoE Hacks, a collaborative pitch led sustainability challenge allowing students to share innovative solutions for aquatic ecosystem conservation. Held at the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence, Delhi-NCR from 4th to 6th November, the competition received an enthusiastic participation from close to 50 students. The Compos was declared the winners and will move forward to participate in the Global UNLEASH Hacks for 2022 that will be held in Mysore from 3rd to 11th December 2022. The finale also hosted a fireside chat with Ms Roshni Nadar Malhotra on using innovation to create sustainable solutions to save the environment.  
 
Team Compos' solution titled 'Directing towards 'Pallikaranai' incentivises citizens of Chennai to sell their waste to them instead of throwing it into the Pallikaranai.  Team Eco-Heal were declared as first runners up who developed IoT pumps that connected with sensors to stop over-irrigation in paddy farms. Team Reconnect were declared second runner-up who developed an app that connects industries with re-cycle hubs as well as the government to work in tandem with each other.
  
The two-day sustainability challenge leveraged the UNLEASH - Shiv Nadar IoE methodology and brought together students to collaborate, ideate, design, prototype, and pitch solutions to an internal jury helmed by Dr Ananya Mukherjee, Vice Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University (IoE), Delhi-NCR. As part of the Shiv Nadar IoE Hacks, thematic insight sessions providing participants inspiration and key learnings on the essence of the theme.
