Gold prices in India witnessed a sudden surge in the last 24 hours, with rates increasing by Rs. 50 for both 24 carat and 22 carat gold. As on Friday, March 10, 24 carat gold (10 grams) costs Rs. 55,290 while 22 carat gold (10 grams) costs Rs. 50,460.
IRB Infrastructure toll collection: The shares of IRB Infrastructure Developers gained 1 per cent today (March 10) to trade at Rs 30 apiece at around 10:30 am on the back of strong toll collection data for February month. The Mumbai-based highways infrastructure developer reported a jump of 27 per cent in toll collection to Rs 351.75 crore in February this year, according to an exchange filing.

Bitcoin (BTC) has recently fallen below the significant $20,000 level for the first time since mid-January, marking a sudden shift in the cryptocurrency's 2023 upward trend. Over the past 24 hours, the largest digital currency by market capitalization has dropped by 7.7% to around $20,040, albeit with some recovery late on Thursday (ET).
Gold prices surged in India on Saturday, according to the GoodReturns website. The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold rose by Rs 540 to reach Rs 56,070, while the price of silver decreased by Rs 200 to Rs 65,250 per kilogram. In contrast, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold dropped by Rs 500 to reach Rs 51,400. 
India's fuel demand has reached its highest level in over two decades in February, with the consumption of fuel rising by more than 5% to 4.82 million barrels per day (18.5 million tonnes), according to data released on Thursday. This is the 15th consecutive year-on-year rise, and demand was the highest recorded in data compiled by the Indian Oil Ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) going back to 1998.

The additional layoffs will be announced in multiple rounds over the coming months that in total would be roughly the same magnitude as the 13 per cent cut to its workforce last year, according to people familiar with the matter.

Bitcoin slumps below $20K as 2023 bull run reverses

Bitcoin (BTC) has recently fallen below the significant $20,000 level for the first time since mid-January, marking a sudden shift in the cryptocurrency's 2023 upward trend. Over the past 24 hours, the largest digital currency by market capitalization has dropped by 7.7% to around $20,040, albeit with some recovery late on Thursday (ET).
Gold prices surged in India on Saturday, according to the GoodReturns website. The price of ten grams of 24-carat gold rose by Rs 540 to reach Rs 56,070, while the price of silver decreased by Rs 200 to Rs 65,250 per kilogram. In contrast, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold dropped by Rs 500 to reach Rs 51,400. 
India's fuel demand has reached its highest level in over two decades in February, with the consumption of fuel rising by more than 5% to 4.82 million barrels per day (18.5 million tonnes), according to data released on Thursday. This is the 15th consecutive year-on-year rise, and demand was the highest recorded in data compiled by the Indian Oil Ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) going back to 1998.
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell "stressed" on Wednesday that the central bank has yet to make a decision on the size of the rate hike, which will be discussed during the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting scheduled for later in March.
