Days after the price of Domestic LPG was slashed, Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced the price of 19 KG commercial LPG gas cylinders by Rs 158, sources said on Friday (September 1).

The Reserve Bank of India on Friday informed that about 93 per cent of Rs 2,000 currency notes have been returned to the banks.
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Friday approved the merger of Air India-Vistara with subject to certain conditions. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the CCI said that it has given a nod to the merger. "CCI approves the merger of Tata SIA Airlines into Air India, and acquisition of certain shareholding by Singapore Airlines in Air India subject to compliance of voluntary commitments offered by the parties," it added. 
The commerce ministry has recommended an anti-dumping duty of up to USD 243 per tonne of import of Chinese glass used in home appliances with a view to guard domestic players from cheap inbound shipments from the neighbouring country. The finance ministry will take a final decision on imposing the duty.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Uday Kotak has resigned from his post with effect from September 1. The resignation comes four months ahead of his retirement on December 31. However, Kotak will continue as a non-executive director of the bank, the bank said in a communication to exchanges on Saturday.

The new limits will be effective from Monday, September 4, according to a notification issued by BSE.

Grounded Go First cannot use 'G8' designator code

Bankrupt Go First is now not eligible for the two-letter designator code 'G8', with global airlines' grouping IATA blocking the code as the airline has not been flying for the past few months. The International Air Transport Association (IATA), which provides two-letter designator and numeric codes to airlines, has blocked the 'G8' for Go First for a 12-month period, according to an official.
