Cash-strapped Go First airline extended its daily flights till November 30 due to "operational reasons". In an official release, the airline also apologised for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellations.

New Delhi: Finance professional Ajay Goel quit BYJU's and returned to Vedanta Ltd as the new chief financial officer as the Anil Agarwal-controlled mining conglomerate heads into an ambitious business restructuring. Goel had quit from Vedanta earlier this year to join education startup BYJU's. He replaced Sonal Shrivastava who resigned from the post months after joining. Vedanta said in a stock exchange filing that Goel has been appointed CFO of the company with effect from October 30, 2023. The year 2023 has seen a flurry of such announcements. IFL Enterprises which is a multibagger stock, is all set to announce a triple bonanza for its investors. 
In a positive trading session today, the Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark index, Sensex, witnessed a rise of 40 points, while the National Stock Exchange's Nifty index successfully surged above the 19,285 mark. The Indian stock markets displayed resilience and maintained an upward trajectory. The Sensex, which comprises 30 large-cap companies listed on the BSE, opened at 62,987.25 points and eventually settled at 63,031.91 points, marking a gain of 0.07% or 40.73 points compared to its previous closing. This bullish trend was mirrored by the broader Nifty index as well.
New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday (October 25) approved subsidy worth Rs 22,303 crore on P&K fertilisers for the current Rabi season to ensure that the Indian farmers are not affected by the rising prices of fertilisers in the international market.
Reserve Bank of India: The Reserve Bank of India today (October 25) asked private banks and wholly-owned subsidiaries of foreign banks to ensure at least two Whole Time Directors (WTDs), including the MD & CEO, on their boards to facilitate succession planning.
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have withdrawn over Rs 12,000 crore from Indian equities, primarily due to the sustained rise in US bond yields and the uncertain environment resulting from the Israel-Hamas conflict. However, FPIs have invested over Rs 5,700 crore in the Indian debt market during this period, according to data from depositories.
In the early hours of trading today, the Indian stock market exhibited a positive trend, with the Sensex and Nifty recording gains as investors displayed confidence in select stocks. This surge comes as a reflection of the ongoing economic recovery and a positive global market environment. As the trading session kicked off, the BSE Sensex, a benchmark index, rose by 56.3 points, or 0.09%, reaching 65,453.92. Simultaneously, the NSE Nifty 50, another key index, gained 14.2 points or 0.07%, climbing to 19,556.85.
Parag Desai, the owner of Wagh Bakri, died at 49 on Sunday, the company said in a statement. According to media reports, he was getting treatment in a hospital after an attack by street dogs. Desai, who also held the post of Executive Director of Wagh Bakri Tea Group, suffered a brain haemorrhage after being bitten by a dog. He reportedly fell during his morning walk in a park last week.

Ajay Goel quits as Byju's CFO, rejoins Vedanta

New Delhi: Finance professional Ajay Goel quit BYJU's and returned to Vedanta Ltd as the new chief financial officer as the Anil Agarwal-controlled mining conglomerate heads into an ambitious business restructuring. Goel had quit from Vedanta earlier this year to join education startup BYJU's. He replaced Sonal Shrivastava who resigned from the post months after joining. Vedanta said in a stock exchange filing that Goel has been appointed CFO of the company with effect from October 30, 2023. "As part of Vedanta's structured re-hiring programme called 'Gharwapsi', Mr. Ajay Goel joins back the company," it said.
